Before You Resign Resource Page

.

.

Thank you for notifying me of your intent or likelihood of you resigning your church. I want to help make this potential transition as smooth as possible for both you and the church. That is why I have created the following resources to help you process things from an emotional, logistical, and spiritual perspective. We are grateful to both the Lord and to you for your contribution to the Kingdom in the Rocky Mountain Ministry Network.

.

1.    “Before You Resign" Resource.  This is a PDF document to assist our ministers think through and discerning the difference between discouragement and release. It addresses why pastors may feel the need to resign, when to resign, when to leave, when to stay, and how to leave in a way that honors God. This resource also provides a practical list of seven (7) things every minister can do to leave well and set both them and their church up for a healthy transition. The document can be accessed by clicking here.

2.    Feedback Loop. Your service at your current church has given you valuable and unique insight into this ministry.  I want to learn from you to help the church, current board and a future leader transition well. That is why I have created a short and confidential online survey that will be confidential and between you and I.  It will help me learn from your wisdom, experience, and perspective of this church and it's future. It will also help me know how to pray for you and your family as you transition to God's next step in your journey.  Would you take 15-minutes to take the short survey?  You can access it by clicking here.

3.    Emotional Equilibrium Resource. There may be several reasons contributing to your departure from your current ministry. To help minister and resource you during this potential transition, we have provided the following resource list. It is categorized by a few common reasons why ministers resign with helpful links to follow. You can access it by clicking here.

Thank you in advance for your service to this church and our Network, as well as your help in orchestrating a smooth transition. Please keep me posted on ANYTHING I can do to help you transition and pray for you in the coming months. I am hoping we can at least talk and pray together over the phone the week before you depart.
