12. Why Am I A Coach? I am a coach because I have a passion to see people come into the destiny that God has on a person’s life. Coaching by its very nature creates an environment that draws the giftings, talents, and anointings in a person’s life to the surface enabling them to move forward with what God has uniquely created them to be. I love coaching because it focuses more on asking questions than providing answers such as in the model of mentoring. There is a definite place for mentoring which the Apostle Paul modeled in a “Follow me as I follow Christ” model. But, coaching focuses on drawing out the gold that is in each individual. I love this model because it allows me to be a part of seeing God move people from a dream phase to a reality experience. Coaching helps people move past their own personal constraints, and gives them confidence to believe that everything that they need to succeed in the calling that God has placed on their life is either already in them or its on the way from the Father who loves them and wants them to succeed.
