What is the norm for years of service at one place for a pastor? I noticed when I was in youth ministry most of us stayed 12 to 18 months on site then moved on...I see a lot of pastors do a 2 to 5 year stint before moving on. What is the norm for today?
In the effective boomer church it is 20 years+.
In the effective buster church it is around 8-10 years.
In the non-effective church of either kind it is 3.4 years.
